SIGI3 (System of Interactive Guidance and Information)

SIGI3 is one of the most advanced career guidance systems available. It includes a self-assessment section that helps students prioritize their interests, values, and work-related activities they enjoy. Students can plug their answers into a database to determine which careers are good matches for them. SIGI3 also provides information on the national job outlook, salaries, educational requirements, job duties, skills, and goal setting.

Though you can use SIGI3 by itself, SIGI3 works best when a student is also working with a professional career counselor. Currently enrolled students may make an appointment to see a professional career counselor free of charge by calling Student Services & Support at 330-684-8908 or 1-800-221-8308 ext. 8908. A number of additional services to help a student make career decisions are available, such as computerized career information systems, additional testing and help in making decisions.

When you start SIGI3 it will ask you to register with a user name and password. For simplicity, you may want to use your UAnet ID and password as your SIGI ID and password.
