TUTORING & COMPUTERS
Tutoring
The Smucker Learning Center
has peer and professional tutors. Peer tutors are students at Wayne
College or The University of Akron. Professional
tutors are faculty members at Wayne College.
All peer tutors practice
effective tutoring strategies and are CRLA internationally certified.
Tutors clarify course content and reinforce learning. The
tutors in The Learning Center desire to help every student who would
like academic assistance. They do not teach a course, do your homework,
or replace class instruction.
Tutoring is free and available
for all subjects in half hour increments. Tutoring can be arranged
by setting up an appointment or stop by to
see if a tutor is available. Plan to meet with tutors to develop
background skills necessary to master the course material and realize
your potential
for success. Computer
