would be significantly less.

What
is Health Care Office Management?
Wayne
College was one of the first colleges in the country to offer
an associate degree in Health Care Office Management. This
innovative new program integrates courses from three different
disciplines - management / accounting, office administration,
and medical assisting. The program is appropriate for current
office managers, those looking to advance into this position,
as well as others with a desire to enter the health care service
field. Previous college level coursework may be applied to
this degree, especially coursework from allied health, nursing,
business management, or office administration areas.
The curriculum
is frequently revised to keep pace with the ever-changing health care
service field. The Health Care Office Management program currently

Manager (CMM) exam. Up to two years of student membership in
Professional Association of Health Care Office Managers (PAHCOM)
can count towards the three-year experience requirement necessary
to sit for the exam.
