Biography:
Jackie was born and raised in Gastonia, NC and graduated from North Gaston Senior High. Upon graduation, she entered into the United States Navy where she completed 5 years of active duty. With a combination of active duty and reserve time, she has completed 24 year of military service and has retired from the United States Navy.
After settling in Clinton, Ohio with husband Larry, and two children, Michael and Tiffany, Jackie obtained her A.A.S. from Stark State College of Technology and her B.S. in Education from The University of Akron. Currently, she is continuing work on her M.A. in Education at The University of Akron.
Jackie has worked for The University of Akron for over 10 years in the student services department. She came to Wayne College from the Akron campus in 2002. Here she plans educational, social and special events for the students and coordinates the clubs and organizations. In addition, Jackie also serves as adviser to the Student Senate organization and the Wayne College Ambassador’s program.
