Duties:
Dr. Horn has taught for The University of Akron for over twenty years. She came to Wayne College from the Akron campus in 1999. Here she teaches English Composition courses and coordinates the Basic Writing instructors and the Writing Consultants in the Smucker Learning Center. Her work in the Learning Center has helped her develop a deep admiration and respect for students of all ages and educational levels.
Dr. Horn is the adviser to Waynessence, Wayne College’s literary and arts publication. She also works with Dean Jack Kristofco on the Wayne College Student Writing Awards, which encourages and recognizes excellence in creative writing among local high school students and students enrolled at Wayne College. This project has grown to include an open-to-the-public daylong Writers Workshop each spring.
