Biography:
Amy earned a M.S. in management with a concentration in human resources and a B.S. in industrial management from The University of Akron. She also has additional education in organizational development, process mapping, leadership, and performance consulting. Amy has 15 years of experience in performance consulting and training and development. Amy holds certifications as a facilitator for AchieveGlobal, DDI, and FranklinCovey. In addition, Amy is certified by SHL in the Work Profiling Process, Universal Competency Framework, Testing in the Workplace and the Occupational Personality Questionnaire and is certified through DDI in its Selection Systems, Targeted Selection and Card-Sort Process.
As director of the Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, Amy leads the office in partnering with local business, industry, and public-sector organizations to provide training and related developmental services; offering public professional development courses, workshops and seminars, and administering testing and assessment services to employers and individuals. Amy represents the college and university on many local, state and national organizations involved in workforce development. In addition, Amy shares responsibility for grant writing/research, instructional initiatives and community leadership for Wayne College.
