Biography:
Lisa Nagy was born in Akron where she attended Archbishop of Hoban High School. She started her library career working at Akron-Summit County Public library as a Student Assistant and was promoted to a support staff position as a Library Assistant. After working fifteen years at Akron-Summit County, she moved to Sacramento, California. In California, she attained a position at McGeorge School of Law as a Library Technician working in the Circulation, Reference and Reserve Departments. At this position, Lisa learned and acquired the knowledge of legal research while working with law students and the state’s legal community. After moving back to Akron in 1998, she attained a position at Wayne College Library as Coordinator of Library Services. Her current position entails the following duties:
- Manages circulation, reserves, Interlibrary Loan functions
- Manages, trains, hires and schedules student assistants
- Provides informational services (teaches workshops and staffs information desk)
- Develops A-V materials, serials and Reference Collections
- Collaborates with the Library Manager on the direction of the library and the management of daily operations
