Biography:
Dr. Roncone joined UA Wayne College full-time in the Fall 2009. Prior to this, he was a senior lecturer at UA Wayne College since 2002, teaching in the Physical Education department, as well as an administrator at a small college in North Canton. He serves on the Board of Directors, Vice President, Sports Science Division, Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (OAHPERD). He also serves on the Board of Directors, Vice President, Health Council for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD)-Midwest. His professional association memberships include: OAHPERD, AAHPERD, Phi Delta Kappa, American School Health Association (ASHA), American Association for Health Education (AAHE), the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE), and the Research Consortium. Dr. Roncone also serves as a reviewer for the American Journal of Health Education as well as for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Alcohol Education Program, CHOICES Grant. His research interests include: Health education and promotion, wellness education, active lifestyles, and ATOD behaviors among collegiate and interscholastic student-athletes. He enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys reading biographies on baseball legends, such as Honus Wagner and Ted Williams.
