Amy
H. Mast
Director of Continuing Education and Workforce

Amy earned a M.S. in management with a concentration in human resources and a B.S. in industrial management from The University of Akron. She also has additional education in organizational development, process mapping, leadership, and performance consulting. Amy has 15 years of experience in performance consulting and training and development. Amy holds certifications as a facilitator for AchieveGlobal, DDI, and FranklinCovey. In addition, Amy is certified by SHL in the Work Profiling Process, Universal Competency Framework, Testing in the Workplace and the Occupational Personality Questionnaire and is certified through DDI in its Selection Systems, Targeted Selection and Card-Sort Process.
As director of the Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, Amy leads the office in partnering with local business, industry, and public-sector organizations to provide training and related developmental services; offering public professional development courses, workshops and seminars, and administering testing and assessment services to employers and individuals. Amy represents the college and university on many local, state and national organizations involved in workforce development. In addition, Amy shares responsibility for grant writing/research, instructional initiatives and community leadership for Wayne College.
Ann Martin
Technical Specialist

As the Technical Specialist for Continuing Education & Workforce Development, Ann is responsible for the operation of the Testing Center. Ann works to provide a high performance location for testing administration and assessment. Ann also assists with various job profiling and testing projects with many local organizations.
Nan Whitsel
Account Executive

Nan earned a BS in Industrial Management with a concentration in Human Resources from The University of Akron. She has over 20 years experience in the human resources field in management and sales in the staffing industry. Her experience in consultative sales and management has resulted in decades of experience in the development and implementation of recruitment/staffing strategies, employee assessment programs, performance improvement programs in the manufacturing, service and non-profit industries. She is a Certified Contract Program Planner thru LERN as well as a Certified Trainer for DDI, Achieve Global, SHL and Lominger.
As an Account Executive for Wayne College she works with local corporate clients and small businesses to help identify the development needs of the organization and customize a program to improve skills and performance levels of the leadership and the workforce. In addition to training, Nan and the Workforce Development Department customizes assessment programs that will help companies assess their employees’ skill levels and behavioral traits as it relates to the necessary competencies needs to excel at their roles within the organization, resulting in a more productive workforce that can compete in this highly competitive global market.
Brenda D. Vogley
Coordinator of Continuing Education and Workforce Development

Brenda earned a BS in Public Relations from Kent State University. She has nearly 10 years of experience in event and program coordination, marketing, and management in retail, non-profit and higher education. Brenda is currently pursuing her MEd in Higher Education Administration at the University of Akron. She is certified in SHL's Work Profiling System, Testing in the Workplace and Applying the OPQ.
As coordinator, Brenda is responsible for administering programs, classes and educational events for the Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. Her duties include developing computer, business, technical and certification courses; course and program promotion; planning special events and on-site training; and recruiting trainers and instructors for programs.
