Set-up
Place the projector in proximity to the laptop and consider the presenter's needs
in doing so. Extension cords may be necessary to position the projector in
the
optimum location for the room, class, and
presenter.
Remove
Viewsonic Projector from case and place in appropriate area
Remove
Lens cap from the projector
Attach
power cord to projector and to power source
Attach
VGA cord to the 'RGB in' connection on the side of the projector
and to the same connection on the back or side of the laptop.
Power
On the projector by turning the power button located on the front
side of the projector directly above the power cord
**NOTE**
STANDBY (R)/ON (G) indicator flashes green while the projector is warming
up, and then after approximately 45 seconds the indicator changes to solid
green and a picture is projected on the screen. When flashing red the fan
is cooling down (about 1 minute) and needs to change to solid red before
turning the fan off.
Connect
the AC Adapter to the Laptop and the power source
Power
On the Laptop by pressing the power button on the keyboard area of
the Laptop
Focus
the picture as necessary by turning the 'Focus Ring' and 'Zoom Ring'
for picture clarity
Send
picture from the laptop to the projector use the 'Fn' and F3 (Gateway)
F9 or F12 (Micron), Pressing the 'Fn' key and holding it down while
then pressing the F3 key for a second or two until the picture from
the laptop is projected onto the screen. This keystroke may be repeated
to toggle the signal.
